Immersion in the classroom

Children have a remarkable ability to learn from the world around them. Even from a small age, they learn simple things from what they see and hear. They go outside and learn that rain falls. They walk in the park and learn that birds sing and flowers bloom, all from the world around them. In the classroom, children still learn from what surrounds them.

子供たちは自分を取り巻く世界から学ぶ、驚くべき能力を持っています。幼い子供たちでも、見聞することで、簡単なことを学びます。
子供たちは外に出て、雨が降るということを学びます。
また、公園を歩き、鳥が歌い、花が咲くことを学びます。
教室内でも、子供たちはたくさんのことを通して学びます。

GrapeSEED is taught in a fully immersive English environment. The goal is to encourage the students to learn and speak freely in English from the classroom around them.

GrapeSEED は、完全に夢中になれる英語環境で行われます。
目標は、生徒が教室内のあらゆることから英語を自由に学び、話すことをサポートすることです。

Two main effects in GrapeSEED

Not only are the children encouraged and praised in English, but they begin to think and communicate in English.
As an American learning Japanese, I have found that the moments that I can form the most fluent expressions are when I first think in Japanese.
With that in mind, I feel that teaching English in an immersive classroom greatly promotes thinking and expressing English very effectively.
Furthermore, giving the students an immersive environment to learn, make friends, and have fun helps them to continue their enthusiasm for learning English.

I certainly hope that, as our students continue to learn and grow, they will continue to enthusiastically express their thoughts and feelings to their friends anywhere in the world.

子供たちは英語で励まされたり、ほめられているだけでなく、GrapeSEEDを通して彼らは英語で考え、コミュニケーションを取り始めます。アメリカ人として私が日本語を学ぶ中で、私が最も流暢な表現をするこのできる瞬間は、日本語を日本語で考えることが出来た時です。そう考えると、生徒が夢中になれる教室で英語を教えることは、生徒が英語で考え、表現をする練習の場として非常に適しています。
また、生徒が夢中になれる環境を提供することは、英語を学び、友達を作り、楽しみ、さらに英語を学ぶ熱意を持ち続ける手助けとなると感じています。

生徒達一人一人に、これからも学び、成長していく中で、世界中の友人に自分の考えや気持ちを熱く伝え続けることを願っています。
